Reverend Dr. Lamar F. Jones
Reverend Lamar F. Jones is a native of Longview, Texas. Reverend Jones is the pastor of Galilee Baptist Church of Hallsville, Texas and has ministered this flock for the past thirteen(14) years. Reverend Jones was licensed to preach on June 23, 1985 and was ordained to the work of the Gospel Ministry on March 2, 1987. He is a man of Prayer, a man of God, a man of Faith, and a man of “The WORD.” Through the proclamation of the “The WORD”, he challenges one to strive to live by God’s Word and to walk by faith in God. He is married to Tyra Jones.
In 2004 Reverend Jones received an honorary Doctor of Divinity Degree from Shreveport Bible College.
Along with pastoring and meeting the needs of his flock, Reverend Jones holds and has held the following positions in the community, district, state and nationals levels.
