                        This course is designed for High School Aged Children.  It is to acquaint youth with some drug abuse problems and to familiarize them with warning signs.  Students will learn what to look for, and how to establish relationships with youth and parents before or during a drug-related problem.  Students will develop a needs assessment strategy for children suffering with emotional and psychological trauma and use this assessment toll in ministry to children in the local church.  The course will also focus on the growing youth violence culture, causes and effects, and strategies that the church can employ to counter the problem of youth violence

Students will learn the thirteen key elements that comprise the teacher’s dozen:  how to prepare a lesson plan, how to create introductions that will excite the listener, and how to make sure the learner practices what they have learned.

This course is designed to teach the ministry of ushering in the church.  Students will also learn the basic signs, positions, and post locations commonly used in ushering within the church.  A State Uniform will be discussed and adopted.  Members of this class will be Ushers for ALL state related settings.

This course will introduce the believer to the biblical principle of discipleship.  The course will examine the character traits of the believers while looking at the overall examples of Jesus.  Examine the discipleship methods of Jesus and the difference between discipleship and membership.
